Singapore, 9 July 2021 – AEM, a global leader in test and handling solutions, has won the Corporate Excellence award for the semiconductor industry, from the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2021 Regional Edition. Organized by Enterprise Asia, APEA is the largest regional recognition and acknowledgment program for trailblazers in the business community.
In particular, AEM was recognized for its strong corporate culture and company activities, as well as its achievements and impact on the semiconductor industry, especially during the pandemic.
Throughout the pandemic, AEM established supply chain resilience and mitigation plans through sites’ self-sufficiency, securing essential materials through global sourcing, and increased safety stocks. The company also found innovative ways to help its customers test their products with maximum coverage and minimum cost through its R&D efforts and investments to continue building on its key technology pillars for test and handling solutions.
As part of AEM’s Business Continuity Plan implementation and Safe Management practices across sites, the company also implemented VR and AR tools for training and remote deployments as part of its talent development and innovation efforts. For example, instead of having overseas staff fly in for training, AEM conducted familiarization exercises using AR.
