Corporate Counsel

We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to be at the front line, collaborating across the organization globally to ensure our legal function operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
Your integral role in our dynamic global team will require you to:

  • Provide support and advice on all legal and compliance issues across the Group, covering
    areas including employment matters, disputes and sanctions/trade compliance
  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on various contracts including customer, supplier,
    procurement, distributor, non-disclosure, and tenancy agreements
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks and opportunities in business activities and commercial
    projects
  • Prepare and update template agreements, including non-disclosure, supply, service,
    distribution, collaboration and consultancy agreements
  • Deliver in-house training on legal and compliance topics
  • Oversee the filing and organization of legal contracts and documentation
  • Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio and handle intellectual property
    prosecution matters together with external intellectual property counsel
  • Enhance the legal department’s legal resources, including policies, procedures, templates and
    checklists
  • Handle all data privacy related issues of the Group
  • Ensure that applicable SGX listing rules and regulations are complied with
  • Support the Group’s M&A activities and integrations as required
  • Manage and coordinate with external counsel as needed
  • Perform related duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Possess a Juris Doctor or bachelor’s degree in law from a well-respected institution
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience with exposure to international
    contracts and complex legal and compliance issues
  • Have good knowledge and experience in SGX listing compliance
  • Possess excellent drafting, analytical, communication and negotiation skills
  • Be an independent, solution-focused individual with the ability to manage different
    stakeholders and set priorities effectively
  • Have a keen interest to work in an international and challenging environment
  • Possess broad commercial transactional experience
  • Be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and to meet critical deadlines
