Responsibilities:
Your integral role in our dynamic global team will require you to:
- Provide support and advice on all legal and compliance issues across the Group, covering
areas including employment matters, disputes and sanctions/trade compliance - Draft, review, negotiate and advise on various contracts including customer, supplier,
procurement, distributor, non-disclosure, and tenancy agreements - Identify, manage and mitigate risks and opportunities in business activities and commercial
projects - Prepare and update template agreements, including non-disclosure, supply, service,
distribution, collaboration and consultancy agreements - Deliver in-house training on legal and compliance topics
- Oversee the filing and organization of legal contracts and documentation
- Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio and handle intellectual property
prosecution matters together with external intellectual property counsel - Enhance the legal department’s legal resources, including policies, procedures, templates and
checklists - Handle all data privacy related issues of the Group
- Ensure that applicable SGX listing rules and regulations are complied with
- Support the Group’s M&A activities and integrations as required
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel as needed
- Perform related duties as assigned from time to time
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Possess a Juris Doctor or bachelor’s degree in law from a well-respected institution
- Have a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience with exposure to international
contracts and complex legal and compliance issues - Have good knowledge and experience in SGX listing compliance
- Possess excellent drafting, analytical, communication and negotiation skills
- Be an independent, solution-focused individual with the ability to manage different
stakeholders and set priorities effectively - Have a keen interest to work in an international and challenging environment
- Possess broad commercial transactional experience
- Be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and to meet critical deadlines
