Chua Tat Ming

As Senior VP of Engineering and Operations at AEM, Chua Tat Ming (TM) leads the engineering, design, and testing processes, as well as new product introduction. With his team, TM delivers and supports customer’s goals to evolve their global manufacturing capabilities with high consistency and repeatability. Together with his team, TM also developed two key test solutions – Burn-in Test Solution and System Level Test Solution.

TM has close to 35 years of experience and expertise in managing product management life-cycles. Before joining AEM in 2017, TM was the R&D Vice President of Hi-P International. He was based in Shanghai for four years and returned to Singapore in 2014 to lead the company’s ODM (original design manufacturer) business in developing wireless smart products. He spent 18 years with Motorola Electronics, progressing from senior R&D engineer to Engineering Director, where he designed a wide range of handheld wireless devices. He was also responsible for the Front EndPre-Development, Product Definition, Product Management, Product Design, and New ProductIntroduction. TM started his career in 1986 as a Development Engineer with Philips DomesticAppliances.

In 2000, the Sciences Advisory Board Associate in Motorola inducted TM as its member to recognize the business impact and contribution he made. This is an award extended only to the top1.5% of global engineers in Motorola. TM is a Project Management Profession (PMP) and a certified six sigma green belt holder. He also holds a US patent in key actuation mechanisms for handheld products.
