As AEM’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Amy Leong plays a pivotal role in shaping and leading the company’s strategic vision, overseeing operations, and driving innovation to ensure that AEM maintains its competitive advantage and meets the growing testing demand for semiconductor-enabled technologies in Artificial Intelligence, edge computing, mobile, and automotives.
With her regional teams, Amy is responsible for driving the adoption of AEM’s innovative Test 2.0 solutions and raising AEM’s position as the global leader in offering application-specific, intelligent system test and handling solutions for semiconductor and electronics companies.
Amy brings over 26 years of experience in P&L management, product development, global sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions. With more than 20 years of semiconductor test equipment experience and a proven track record of driving profitability and growth for global technology companies, her broad technology expertise spans semiconductor manufacturing processes, ranging from front-end wafer fabrication to back-end test and measurement and advanced packaging.
Most recently, she held various senior leadership positions at FormFactor Inc. from 2012 to 2023, including Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, Mergers and Acquisitions, General Manager, and Chief Marketing Officer. Before joining FormFactor, she was Vice President of Marketing of MicroProbe from 2010 through the 2012 closing of FormFactor’s acquisition of MicroProbe. Prior to joining MicroProbe, she held various management, product marketing, and manufacturing engineering roles at Gartner, KLA, and IBM.
Amy has served as a board director of Skywater Technology [NASDAQ: SKYT] since 2022 and as an advisory board member of International Semiconductor Executive Summits since 2016. She was a director of Simple Steps Community Connection, a nonprofit organization supporting women’s leadership initiatives, from 2020 to 2023.
Amy received a Master of Science degree in materials science and engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
